Day 1 – MON/THU Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent
Begin your Tour of Uzbekistan from Malaysia with a warm welcome in Tashkent, the thriving capital of Uzbekistan. Depart from Kuala-Lumpur flight HY554 and arrive in Tashkent International Airport, our friendly driver will meet you and escort you to your hotel for a well-deserved check-in and rest after your flight. Take some time to recharge and get settled. A rich history of over 2200 years, Tashkent boasts a myriad of captivating museums, historic sites, and lush parks waiting to be discovered. Spend the night in comfort at your hotel in Tashkent.
Day 2 – TUE/FRI Tashkent – Bukhara
Begin the second day of your Indonesia to Uzbekistan Classic tour with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Your guide and driver will meet you at hotel reception to being your City tour of Tashkent. The private city tour includes the following:
  • Excursion to the Old City, including Khazret-Imam Architectural Complex, which holds the oldest known original Usman Quran in the world. Also on site are the Madrasah of Barak-Khan (16th century), Tillya-Sheikh Mosque, Juma Mosque and Mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi (all 15th century);
  • Visit to Chorsu Bazaar, Tashkent’s most well-established bazaar that includes a large selection of traditional Uzbek ceramics, jewelry, handbags, garments and more;
  • Next site is Kukeldash Madrasah (16th century), a centre of Islamic education which remains active to this day;
  • Visit to the Mausoleum of Sheikh Zainuddin-Bobo, a prominent poet and Suhrawardi Sufi (12th-16th century), located in the Kukcha quarter;
  • Continue your pilgramage to Sheikh Khavendi Takhur (Shayhantaur) Memorial Complex, burial grounds of a revered 14th-century Sufi dervish;
  • Wrap up your city tour at the Applied Arts Museum, an informative collection of Uzbekistan’s finest handicrafts housed in an ornately decorated villa.

Travel to Bukhara by evening train from Tashkent, a journey of approximately 580 km. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel in the charming Old City, reminiscent of a tale from the Arabian Nights.
Day 3 – WED/SAT Bukhara
Breakfast at the hotel. With your private local guide, enjoy a walking tour of the most impressive sights of Bukhara’s Old City:
  • Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble, holding the largest artificial reservoir of medieval Bukhara and some of the largest madrasahs in the city: Khanaka Madrasah, Kukeldash Madrasah and Nadir Divan Beghi Madrasah (all 16th century);
  • Magoki-Attori Mosque, the oldest mosque in Bukhara (12th century);
  • Four Trade Domes (15th-16th centuries), which still house local handicrafts for sale;
  • Poi Kalyan Ensemble (12th-16th centuries), consisting of the Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, Amir-Alimkhan Madrasah and Miri-Arab Madrasah;
  • Ulugbek Madrasah (15th century) and Abdulazizkhan Madrasah (17th century), relatively untouched yet impressive religious schools;
  • Ark Fortress (4th century), the ancient center of Bukharan statehood which currently houses a small museum.
  • Bolo-Khauz Complex, which consists of a decorated 18th century mosque, a minaret and reservoirs that once provided water for the entire city.

Day 4 – THU/SUN Bukhara – Gijduvon - Samarkand
Breakfast at the hotel, check-out and continue Bukhara city tour:
  • Continue to the Mausoleum of Abu Khafs Kabir, teacher of Imam Al Bukhari;
  • Drive to the burial site of Sufi author and poet Said Amir Kulal;
  • Next visit to the village of Qasri Orifon, is the Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi;
  • Drive to to Gijduvon (50 km, 1hr), a small town whose traditional crafts and ceramics have been sought after in Central Asia for centuries due to their quality and colorful, decorative style.
  • Visit to the tomb of Abduxoliq Gijduvaniy (1121-1199), a Sufi teacher and master of the Naqshbandi Order.
Continue driving to Samarkand (240 km). Along the way, stop by the Rabat-i-Malik Caravanserai ruins and Sardoba, an ancient water reservoir. Arrive in Samarkand, the capital of Tamerlane's Empire. Day 5 – SAT/TUE Samarkand
Start your private tour of Samarkand on the fifth day of your Uzbekistan Classic tour from Malaysia. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting out with your local guide and driver to visit some of the city's most famous sites:
  • First, visit Gur Emir, the impressive burial place of Tamerlane, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Mir Said Baraka;
  • Continue to the beautiful Shakhi-Zinda, a complex of mausoleums built between the 9th and 14th centuries. Take a stroll along the blue-domed path and explore more than twenty tombs, including the tomb of Kusam ibn Abbas, cousin of the Prophet Muhammad;
  • Next, visit the historic Khazrat Hizr mosque;
  • Followed by a shopping stop at Siab Bazaar, where you can buy sweets, fruits, and Samarkand's famous bread;
  • Afterward, marvel at the Bibi Khanum Mosque, built by Timur the Great (Tamerlane) in the 15th century;
  • Later, head to Ulugbek Observatory to see the remains of a 14th-15th century sextant and tour the Ulugbek Museum;
  • Finally, visit the Mausoleum of Khodja Daniyar, believed to hold the remains of the prophet Daniel.
After a full day of touring, return to the hotel for a well-deserved overnight stay. The tour duration is 6 hours.
Day 6 – SAT/TUE Samarkand

  • Drive to the mausoleum of Sufi philosopher Hazrat Makhdumi A'zam Dahbediy;
  • Visit Khodja Akhrar Vali Ensemble, dedicated to the 15th-century leader of the Naqshbandi Order;
  • Continue to the Mausoleum of Abu Mansur Al Maturidi, a 10th -century Islamic philosopher;
  • Tour the spectacular Registan Square, the commercial center of Samarkand for centuries and the city’s most famous site today. The square includes Ulugbek Madrasah (15th century), Sher-Dor Madrasah (17th century) and Tilla-Kori Madrasah (17th century).
  • Drive to Konigil heritage village to observe the traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry leaves; you’ll also have the chance to buy these unique souvenirs.

Day 7 – SUN/WED Samarkand - Tashkent – Kuala Lumpur
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a free morning. Check out from the hotel by noon. Afternoon transfer to the train station to take the train to Tashkent (330 km).
