Tour to Ecocenter Jeyran in Bukhara

Tour itinerary:

Your driver will pick-up from the hotel in the morning and transfer to EcoCenter (40km, 45min). Start your tour to Jeyran Ecocenter, an open-air cage complex with 5000 hectares. Excursion includes both walking (40min) and car routes (2hrs, 7km). You can walk along lakes with different salinity and depth levels, and very carefully observe the life of night animals of the desert.

Ecocenter "Jeyran" is a state research and production organization, which was organized in May 1977 with the aim of conservation of biodiversity, through breeding of rare and endangered species of animals, as well as conservation of the South-Western Kyzyl Kum area and environmental education of the local population. Unique place for ecotourism which offers an opportunity to get to know the nature of the Kyzylkum desert and Bukhara. During the tour, nature lovers will meet not only the inhabitants of our desert, but also learn about rare species that need protection, and much more. There are 32 employees, among them 12 scientists. More than 40 kinds of vertebrates and 6 kinds of invertebrates living on the territory of the Ecocenter are included in National and International Red Books.

You will visit an aviary complex, lakes, observation tower and drive along the canal. Finish your visit at Jeyran ecocenter and return to Bukhara.

• Transfer time - approximately 2 hours;
• Excursion time - approximately 4 hours.

Note for ecocenter excursion:

• Best time to visit is 07:00 – 09:00 or 17:00 – 19:00 (time may change based on sunrise and sunset).
• Recommended ecocenter tour booking time is one week in advance.
