Our Evening Tour of Tashkent is a unique tour of the capital of Uzbekistan, a 3-hour moonlit walk through the beautiful streets and best sights of Tashkent. We’ll visit the quiet, deserted Khazret Imam Complex, plunge into a noisy stream of pedestrians along Broadway Street, stroll through the famed Amir Timur Square and see some of the city’s greatest 20th century fixtures, the Tashkent Clocktower and Alisher Navoi Theatre.
The Tashkent Walking Tour, one of our few evening tours in Uzbekistan, is a great option for those who have limited time or just enjoy an evening stroll.
Program
Tour Itinerary
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a private evening Tashkent city tour:
- Your tour starts with an excursion to the Old City, featuring the Khazret-Imam Architectural Complex, Madrasah of Barak-Khan (16th century), Tillya-Sheykh Mosque, Juma Mosque, and the Mausoleum of Saint Kaffal Shashi (15th century). Walking through the Islamic Civilization Center and Zarqaynar street;
- Next, visit Minor White Mosque – an imposing new mosque on the banks of the Ankhor Channel and favorite gathering spot for locals in the evening;
- Independence Square, including the moving Mourning Mother Monument and the Eternal Flame;
- Continue through Broadway Street, a pedestrian avenue known for its festive evening atmosphere and large collection of national paintings for sale along the walkway;
- Alisher Navoi Opera Theatre, whose history and design are as fascinating as the performances themselves;
- Amir Timur Square, with a massive statue of none other than Tamerlane himself at the center;
- Tashkent Chimes, a classic symbol of Tashkent City.

Tour: Chimgan and Charvak Day Tour →We did indeed arrive home safely from this wonderful adventure. It was a truly beautiful trip! Everything was so special: the culture and nature. You realize how little you know about that rich history. The trip went smoothly. The arrangements were kept. In Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the tour operator (the day before) promptly sent me an app telling me what time we would be picked up or dropped off. Everything was accurate. Credit card payments aren't accepted on the train ride through Kazakhstan.
