"Altyn Kyran" (Golden Eagle) Star Award
The "Altyn Kyran" award was introduced in 1995. This award is conferred on citizens for outstanding state services to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan determines the recipients of the "AltynKyran" award.
Through the rights given to his position, the President himself has become the bearer of a special version of the "Altyn Kyran" award. This award is physically comprised of a star and decoration on a pendant.

The Title of "Halyk Kaharmany" (National Hero)
The title of "Halyk Kaharmany" was introduced in 1993. The title is bestowed upon individuals for outstanding services to the Republic of Kazakhstan, civil deeds and feats of arms in the name of its freedom and independence.
Individuals awarded the honorary title of "Halyk Kaharmany" are given a special symbol: the Golden Starand "Otan" Award.
DECORATIONS
"Otan" (Fatherland) Decoration
The "Otan" decoration was introduced in 1993. This decoration is conferred on individuals for particularly special services in state and public affairs, economic development, society, science and culture, law-enforcement and military services and development of democracy and social progress.
"Barys" (Snow Leopard) the Star of Award I
The "Barys" award was introduced in 1999. This decoration is conferred upon individuals for service in the strengthening the State System and Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guaranteeing peace, consolidating the community and unity ofthe people of Kazakhstan instate, industrial, scientific, socio-cultural and public activity, consolidating cooperation among peoples, rapprochement and interenrichment of national cultures and friendly relationships among states. "Barys" award has various types: (I, II and III). "Barys" award (1): a star and symbol on a shoulderribbon.

"Dank" (Glory) Star Decoration I
The "Dank" decoration was introduced in 1993. It is conferred on high ranking military officials of the Armed Forces, other troops and military units, national security agencies, internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan personnel and others. This decoration is given for achievements in leadership and management of troops, including a high level of readiness of troops and guaranteeing the defensive capacity of the country; for the excellent organization of military- external and internal service, guaranteeing national security, enforcement of law and protection of the public order. There are two types of the "Dank" decoration, The "Dank" 1 decoration is comprised of a star and symbol decoration on the shoulder ribbon.

This decoration is given for achievements in leadership and management of troops, including a high level of readiness of troops and guaranteeing the defensive capacity of the country; for the excellent organization of military, external and internal service, guaranteeing national security, enforcement of law and protection of the public order. "Aibyn" (Valor) Decoration I
The "Aibyn" decoration was introduced in 1995. The decoration is conferred upon military personnel of the Armed Forces, other troops and military units, as well as employees of the prosecution bodies, national security, internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other for services and achievements attained during military training, ensuring a high level of military readiness of troops and mastering new military techniques, guaranteeing law enforcement and protection of public order; for courage and selflessness shown during the fulfillment of military and service duties, and for deeds committed for protection of the State's interests. There are three types of the "Aibyn" decoration, (I,II & III). The first two types of the "Aibyn" decoration (I & II) are conferred on junior and senior officers. The "Aibyn" decoration (III) is given to soldiers, sailors, sergeants, master sergeants, ensigns and warrant officers.

"Parasat" (Nobility) Award
The "Parasat" award was introduced in 1993. This award is given to individuals in science and culture, literature and art, as well as statesmen and individuals who have contributed much to the development and enrichment of the spiritual and intellectual potential of the Republic, for pro-active endeavors in human rights and social interests' defense.
"Dostyk" (Friendship) Star Award I
The "Dostyk" award was introduced in 1995. The "Dostyk" is awarded to individuals for fruitful activity in the field of international and civil consensus in society, for merits and deeds in promoting peace, friendship and cooperation between peoples. There are two types of "Dostyk" awards, (I & II). The «Dostyk» award (I) consists of a star and the decoration symbol fitted with a shoulder ribbon.

The "Kurmet" award was introduced in 1993. The award is given for achievements in the development of the economy, social sphere, sciences and culture, education, for exemplary service in state organizations and for pro-active social and public activity.
HONORARY TITLES
Honorary title "Kazakhstannin enbek sinirgen kairatkeri" (Honored Worker)
The honorary title "Kazakhstannin enbek sinirgen kairatkeri" was introduced in 1993. This honorary title is awarded to prominent state and public figures, representatives of science, culture, art, manufacturing and social spheres for great merit to the Republic.
Honorary title "Kazakhstan garyshker-ushkishi" (Space Pilot of Kazakhstan)
The honorary title "Kazakhstan garyshker-ushkishi" was introduced in 1993. Ii is awarded to individuals that have successfully accomplished the program of space flight, that have achieved the scientific, technical, research and practical goals set before them. Individuals awarded this honorary title are issued a breastplate.
AWARDS FOR MOTHERS
"Altyn alka" (Golden Pendant) pendant
The "Altyn alka" pendant was introduced in 1993. It is awarded to mothers who have given birth to and brought up ten or more children.
"Kumis alka" (Silver Pendant) pendant
The "Kumis alka" pendant was introduced in 1993. It is awarded to mothers who have given birth to and brought up eight to nine children.
MEDALS
"Erligi ushin" (Courage) Medal
The "Erligi ushin" medal was introduced in 1993. The medal is awarded to citizens for having courage in extreme situations, for saving human lives and in the fight against crime.
"Zhaungerlik erligi ushin" (Military Prowess) Medal
The "haungerlik erligi ushin" medal was introduced in 1995. The medals are awarded to military servicemen in the Army, Republican Guards, Security Service of the President, Interior and Frontier Troops, as well as the employees of the Prosecutor's Office and the National Security Service for proactive and brave actions in battle, actions that help to successfully achieve battle objectives, proactive actions in the fight against crime, courage proven in the defense of state frontiers and achievements during military service.
"Eren enbegi ushin" (Labour Prowess) Medal
The "Eren enbegi ushin" Medal was introduced in 1993. The medal is awarded to citizens for excellence at work in economics, social spheres, sciences, culture and in public service.
