On the Azerbaijan Classic Tour you’ll discover the face of Azerbaijan as you explore its most classic and unusual landmarks. Your journey begins in the palaces and caravanserais of Old Baku and continues to burning mountains and mud volcanoes, ancient temples and petroglyphs, cobblestone villages and a former empire capital now holding the country’s oldest mosque.
Baku is a capital defined by contrasts, from the ancient Maiden Tower to the cutting-edge Heydar Aliev Center, while nearby Absheron Peninsula has made a name for itself with the natural gas fires of Yanar Dag and the remains of the Zoroastrian Ateshgah Fire Temple. Gobustan National Park likewise combines history and natural wonders with the Gobustan Mud Volcanoes and Petroglyphs, while Lahic and Shamakhi create a city-village duo of traditional Azerbaijani displays.
