There are no ATM’s on the Pamir highway, so bring enough US dollars and Tajik somoni with you. The sun is strong at higher altitudes, bring sunglasses and sunscreen. Also recommended to bring your own bottle and power bank, not every homestay has electricity and power cuts are common. Even in summer it can get very cold at the Pamir highway, so bring enough warm clothes.
