Conditions: There are no technical difficulties on the trekking route, but participants should have good health and fitness, in order to cross passes of 3500-4000m and hike about 7-8 hours each day. Each participant should have warm and water-resistant clothing, a coat, trekking boots, sleeping bag, gloves and sunglasses. There are no limits on the weight of personal gear.
Service: Full board and lodging in hotels and tent camps, guides, interpreters, transport during the entire trip and full expedition services.

The Western Tien Shan is not very often visited by travelers, though those who have been here consider it to be one of the most picturesque and beautiful places of Central Asia's mountainous regions.
Sary-Chelek Lake is situated on the slopes of the Chatkal range (1,878m above sea level) covered by alpine meadows and mighty Tien Shan pines, birches and unique native walnut forests. The area is rich in high, glacial lakes; the pearl of the southwestern Tien Shan, Sary-Chelek Lake, is among them. It's length is 7.5 km, width 300m - 2.2km. Knowing beforehand of the beauty of this land, you'll be surprised when you first see "a yellow bowl; at the bottom - blue water, with black minarets all around".
Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek. Hotel accommodation. Excursion around the city.
Day 2. Excursion to Ala-Archa gorge. Hiking to Ak-Sai waterfall. From the mountaineering camp, group follows a path which runs through fir forests to a plateau, and then down a slope to a waterfall.
Day 3. Transfer (250km) from Bishkek over Tuya-Ashuu (3,400m) and Otmek (3,300m) passes to Chat-Bazar village. Tuya-Ashuu is one of the most beautiful passes in Kyrgyzstan. Beyond this pass, arrival in the Susamyr valley, which contains no inhabited places, having always been used for pasture. Night in tent camp near the village.
Day 4. Transfer to town of Talas over Kara-Bura pass (3,569m) and then to Chatkal gorge. Tent camp in forest. Talas valley is the motherland of the Kyrgyz national hero, Manas. Here is Gumbez Manas (Manas's grave).
Day 5. Hiking along Aflatun gorge to two lakes, where we stop for night. At the entrance to Aflatun gorge is a national preserve for Semenov's silver fir. These trees you can only see in Kyrgyzstan. Night in tent camp between the lakes.
Day 6. Hike to the upper reaches of Aflatun gorge and further to Kara-Tokoy (3,620m) pass. From the forest zone we ascend to alpine meadows and continue to the foot of the pass. Night in tent camp at the base of the pass.
Day 7. Hiking over Kara-Tokoy pass to the forest area of the Sary-Chelek biosphere reserve. Pass is not very difficult, entire trip takes 6-7 hours of easy hiking. Night in tent camp.
Day 8. Hiking to Sary-Chelek Lake. Night in tents on the shore of the lake.
Day 9. Rest day at Sary-Chelek Lake. Short trips around the lake.
Day 10. Hiking to the southeastern shore of the lake. Along the way, wonderful views. Sharp rocky shores of the lake dive into water. Lake is quite deep, about 240m.
Day 11. Rest day. Motor boating and short treks. Visits to small lakes around Sary-Chelek Lake.
Day 12. Transfer Sary-Chelek Lake - Tash-Kumyr - Kara-Kul - Toktogul. En-route, stop to catch wonderful views of Toktogul reservoir.
Day 13. Transfer to Bishkek over the Ala-Bel (3,600m) and Tuya-Ashu (3,400m) passes.
Day 14. Return home.
