The guesthouse of Masuma Yunusova is built according to the best traditions of Asian architecture. If you choose to stay here, you will not only rest and relax after excursions around Samarkand architectural monuments, but also be given a closer look at the lifestyle of a local family.
The Masuma-opa family has ancient Persian origins and practices Shiite Islam. This very interesting fact explains the design of the house and the traditions of the family. Persian and Uzbek, modern and deeply rooted traditions coexist well together in this house.
There are five guest rooms in the house. They are situated on the first floor near the owners' bedrooms. There is a spacious hall on the ground floor, where guests can watch TV and enjoy soft drinks and hot tea or coffee. A bathroom is also situated on the ground floor.
Upon their wishes, guests are offered lunch or dinner, including dishes of Uzbek cuisine.
The house has a cozy patio with a swimming pool. A huge forty year old tree stands in the middle of the patio.
Guests can take some photos in traditional Uzbek costumes. Uzbek musical concerts and visits to Uzbek weddings can be organized for guests. For an additional fee guests can visit a sauna.
