Hello Natalia!
Thought I would share a few pictures of our tour of Uzbekistan that included some of our guides and our driver. We had a great tour and your staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you again for all your help and please pass along our thanks to all your staff, guides and drivers.
Didn't manage to get a picture of our guide, Dill in Khiva or our first driver Daniel.
Bye for now.

Michael Shamshidov, the expert of OrexCA.com
This is the exact name translated from Uzbek "Kuruksay", the name of surprising place and the mountain kishlak in the Kashkadarinsky area of Uzbekistan - where in June 2011 a tour for small group of tour operators from a range of travel agencies of Tashkent and Samarkand has been organized.
Our spontaneous journey to those almost unknown and not designated on "the tourism map" edges started on Friday, June, 10th at the taxi center of the Dagestan Street in Tashkent... (more >>>)

Dear Alexandra,
This is to say Thank you for all the Wonderful service from all your people and the warm reception that we had from Uzbek People all over at Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. We enjoyed our stay and learned a lot about the customs, Monuments, Culture and lifestyles. It was my dream to see all these places that we have been reading about in our history books, specially Bukhara and Samarkand. It was a revelation to know about the Romance of Farhod and Shirin took place here, as we have been hearing about these legendary stories.
Highlights of the Tour:
1. Visit to the Uzbek home at Samarkand for lunch, one of the Best Meals we had.
2. Dinner at Registan Restaurant at Samarkand. Great Food, Hospitable Hostess, both the mother and daughter. Colourful Dances.
3.My experience at Hammam at Bukhara. Just took me back to 17th Century.
4. Timur's Mausoleum. We cud feel that the Humayun's Tomb in Delhi was Inspired by this architecture.
5. It was a Revelation that Uzbek was not always an Islamic state but a Parsi State. People were highly cultured and well read about the world and had the great knowledge about Metals, Stones and other natural resources.
6.Your Driver and our Friend Davron.
7.All the Beautiful People, it was as if God has created all the best looking people at Uzbek only, it is not that we Indians are not good looking but the beauty was in abundance.
8. Cleanliness on the Roads.
Turn Offs
Toilets at Midways betwen two cities. and at Monuments. That is where Govt need to do something
Rest Everything was Holloi Polloi. Kindly send me the e-mail address of Davron, if he has any and if possible the e-mail address of that Family at Samarkand, I would like to e mail them the fotos.
Thanks again for everything, I am sure you have received my 2 trip wow albums, RK at Tashkent and RK at Bukhara. If not then check it on this

Hello Alexandra,
How are you? I am back home with sweet memories of my travel.
I know how busy you are in the office. I will not take much time but few observations.
Tour was well arranged. NO problem throughout.
All vehicles are in very good condition and comfortable.
Only shocking feelings are when a stranger tourist arrives at unknown place at midnight and no body there to receive though assured. I believe that Tashkent is safe city compared to other cities. Even at the Hotel Uzbekistan, he refused to give me room, I explained the situation and problem was solved.
I think in Tashkent you should have given more time instead of only ONE day and that too on arrival day.
Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand arrangements are fine and satisfactory and comfortable. All guides at Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand were very knowledgeable, cooperative and helpful, polite with good understanding.
ANWAR, I have NO words for him. Excellent person, helpful, polite and caring. Anwar is an asset to your company.
Tajikistan was OK because I had few hours, but I am satisfied.
Kyrgyzstan trip was good, but you allocated long stay, it should have been reduced by a day or two.
Almaty was also short stay for just one day, there you should have given 2 or 3 days and many suggested to visit Astana, which was missed.
Driver and Guide in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are extremely helpful, nice, cooperative and caring.
It was nicely arranged travel.
I wish to visit Armenia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia in future, if you arrange it.
Thank YOU for all your e-mail replies to my queries, though very busy which I could see personally.
Thank YOU Alexandra. Thank YOU all at the office. Thank YOU OrexCA.com.

Absolutely amazing. These are indeed cities with history and full of stories. Complete civilizations built with the fine embroidery-like quality of human labour in its greatest and most splendid form; every brick is a piece of art; each mosaic is a brush stroke, a stitch; and every moment here, a thread in this weave. As a whole, it is dazzling.
If places took my breath away, people’s warmth has made me commit to my own rebirth and resurgence, like a mythical bird that transforms itself to live with new plenitude. No wonder it is in its National crest.
Thank you, Uzbekistan.

Valentin Sazhin, New York, USA
Travel to the former Soviet republics, and now the independent states of the Central Asia, was organized as a tour by our partner in there OrexCA.com. The group has turned out to be small, but despite this fact we decided to use the big buses for comfort. In the tour there also have been possibly included the best hotels of each city that we visited and three meals a day.
Nazira Alieva, one of the most experienced guides in the region, worked with the group as the guide and the tourist's-director and on places we also took local guides. So, therefore Nazira was the person, who met us at the Tashkent airport on September, 6th. The flight was long... (more >>>)

Hallo Alexandra,
I would like to say thank you for your organization: Our guide, Caterina, was really good and she speaks a very good italian, all the hotels you suggested were exactly what I was looking for, and the food also very good!
The only problem we had was with Samarkand Plaza, a very good hotel, but they had problem with air conditioning and mostly of us could not sleep during the 2 nights!
Thank you also for delaying flight on arrival: you saved our tour!
I hope to deal with you soon!

Good morning Amal,
The hotels were really good, especially in Uzbekistan and the Amelia Boutique is Bukhara was for me the most pleasant one.
The Ak Altyn hotel in Ashgabad is ok, but the staff is unfriendly. I would suggest another hotel for the next time time.
Anyway, thanks again for all and the drivers and guides were very helpful and nice.
Best regards

Amal,
Normally I am a lone traveler, and have explored most of Central Asia already, but Uzbekistan presented many different issues, so came to you for help. You and your company have provided excellent services, and made a great holiday possible and ensured that the flow was completely smooth. Some points deserve special mention:
Firstly, Mr. Amal. You provided a great itenery, and accepted all the changes that I gave you, with my travel partner (s) changing and dates moving almost on a daily basis, in a very professional, as well as easy going manor. Thank you for the itenery, the planning, the visa, and all that went with it, and for making ALL the transfers, meeting, greeting, tours and hotels very smooth. Despite the fact that I made my own arrangements in Tashkent as I was able to use a hotel promotion that you could not compete with, you easily integrated this into the plan. Thank you
Mr. Izzat, the driver in Tashkent. He greeted my partner who arrived a couple of days before me, and looked after her way beyond anything that I could have expected, or have paid for. He acted way above what could have been expected from a professional point of view or of a driver. Please pass on my thanks. All the way through he was early for each collection, looked after us through the doors of every destination, advised where to go in free time, and provided great support. I have hired many drivers throughout the world in my professional and personal travels, and have never met one as professional, easy going, or considerate. I have great shame that I could not raise any cash at the end in Tashkent, due to the banking system there to 'tip' him, may I send something to you to pass along?
Samarkand, Both the driver, and the guide as well as the hotel were great. They professionally showed us around, with the agenda, and adjusted easily to our needs, and looked after us well, despite it being very cold, making great urgency to get through the places to see. The great pity is that we did not have enough time there due to our plans to really take it all in.
Bukhara, Regrettably, I cannot remember the name of the guide! But from the collection from the station, to dropping us off 2 days later, she completely looked after us, took us to where we wanted to go throughout. We had an issue with onward travel plans, and adjusted easily to helping us with this for however long it took, being completely flexible, and enormously helpful, whilst keeping great sense of humor. Again this is far beyond anything that we could have asked for from a guide. Please pass along again our thanks.
The trains were great, and well organized by yourself. Its been a long time since I took a long train ride, and it was fun. We managed an 'upgrade' to get sleep on the way back, and had some fun journeys, that would not have happened if we took car transfer, or even the flight back from Bukhara.
The entire trip was excellent value for money, and completely well organized. I would probably have paid a little more for higher hotels, but it was all pretty good.
I will use your service again should we return to Uzbekistan in the future, there is more to see, and more time is needed than we had available in this trip. However, it will be in the summer! I will of course recommend you wherever I can.
Thank you again for providing a great, well organized, and reasonably priced holiday!

Dear Ms. Alexandra,
Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.
I do hope you and everyone in the office are fine and business booming. First of anything, THANK YOU very much for your assistance and support during my recent visit to your country. It was a wonderful experience travelling through Uzbekistan.
The trip was well organized in every aspect and allowed me time to learn about Ubekistan and its attractions, culture, people. It would be difficult for me to highlight one specific point of this trip, it was overall great. Mr. Rafshan was an excellent driver and companion, the local guides in each city were exceptional. Specially in Shakhrisabz and Khiva. All of them were very accommodating to my requests during the tours and provided with with a good wealth of information. Again, thank you very much for all your assistance and attention.

I just wanted to thank you for arranging the wonderful tour of Uzbekistan. I enjoyed it thoroughly, even though I was sick a couple of days. I want you to know that your tour guides (every one of them) were top quality - the best I've had in any country. You can be proud of them. Also, my driver Backhti was excellent. He was a real gentleman, a good, safe driver, and knowledgeable, as well. All in all, it was one of my best journeys and I came away with a high regard for Uzbekistan and its people.

Coral Hill LLC Dear Elena,
We enjoyed very much our trip to Uzbekistan and would first like to thank you and your team for the excellent organization of all the details. Some specific comments:
Especially we would like to convey to you how very pleased we were with the service and friendship of our driver, Gemma. He was always very helpful and thoughtful, and he was good-natured and within a few days we felt a friendship with him. I hope that you will especially communicate to him how much we appreciated his hospitality and courtesy (and he was also a very good driver and guide!).
The tour guides (i.e., in Samarkand and in Bukhara) were also very good; they were knowledgeable and spoke excellent English and were very courteous.
Also, Rustam, in the mountains, was an excellent guide and we enjoyed his stories about Uzbekistan history and culture. You are very fortunate to have Gemma and Rustam on your team (!). The horseback riding trek was amazing !! … perhaps our favorite day, and you should Maybe give more highlight to this horseback riding trek on your website.
The hotels (Riverside Lodge, Samarkand, Bukhara) were fine. They were clean and comfortable. So, in summary, we enjoyed our trip to Uzbekistan and I would like to thank you personally for the hard work and commitment in planning and making all of the arrangements. I would not hesitate in recommending Orexca to other travelers/tourists. I look forward to returning to Uzbekistan someday,
Thank you again Elena,

CY Lam Dear Elena,
My group returned to Hong Kong safe and sound.
Thank you very much for helping us organize the trip in Uzbekistan. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We all felt very elated to be able to see the central hub of the Silk Road with our own eyes. I have several history fans in my group; so we were particularly pleased to visit sites that linked us back to the ancient times more than two thousand years from now.
I salute your country for preserving so much of the majestic glories of the past and making the sites accessible to visitors. I also would like to thank all your staff involved in supporting our trip. All were helpful and caring. Our escort guide Ms Bibikhanum was young and energetic, giving us a lot of interesting time.
Finally, a personal "thank you" to you. Your responses throughout the organization period were timely and professional. You made my organization effort much easier.

Virginija Morgan Thank you for facilitating our trip to Uzbekistan! All went very well, the driver was superb – cordial, flexible, fun to work with – one could not wish a better driver! The guides were lovely, but the one in Samarkand (Lola) was better – she was more knowledgeable about the history, and her English was better. The hotels were very conveniently located for our interests, clean, friendly, and comfortable. The sites were gorgeous, and we had a truly wonderful time. And of course, the reception in your office was extremely hospitable.
Now I can’t wait to travel to Uzbekistan again!

Alex Tu I really enjoyed my stay in Uzbekistan. I must thank all of your in OrexCA.com, especially you Elena and Firdavz (driver). After nine years, this time I found your country changed a lot (in a good way), but her culture still fascinating and people still warm-hearted and friendly. During our travel, my friend and I took many photos and slides, more than 2000, and which need some time to scan into computer files. Once it's done, we will choose some to send to you. As to the new book we are working on, at first it will appear as a column in a magazine. I'll also send a copy to you if it gets printed. There are some countries I keep going back, not only because those places are beautiful and people lovable, but I have made good friends there, therefore I feel connected to the land. I think that exactly the case with Uzbekistan. Please say hello to Firdavz. Thank you again. Thank you again, Alex Tu Hong-Kong August 21 - September 10, 2007
Richard Lewis It was our pleasure, we had a thoroughly great time and would definitely like to visit again. Tolmas, our driver from Khiva to Samarkand was fabulous and exceedingly helpful. He most certainly added to the enjoyment and ease of the trip. The guides in each city were most professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The lady in Samarkand was very helpful and ensured we experienced the best of the available food delights in the market. The young man Bekhruz in Bukhara was very professional, friendly and clearly loved his city giving us a full history of the turbulent events of Bukhara yet not sending us to sleep. We had an enjoyable lunch with him and wish him all the best in his future studies. We enjoyed the hiking in Tajikistan and the guide and translator were experienced and worked very hard to ensure we were happy and comfortable...

David McWilliams Thank you too. I finally have a weekend to unpack and get things back to normal. She's very nice guide who explained to us everything... She has alot of knowledge about all historical places in Uzbekistan and she was very kind and helpful to us. My wife and I just wanted to thank your company for a great job, and great people working with You. Best wishes from all of us! Chris and Marina Church, Irina Cruz
Gary Whelan, Great Britain Dear Alexandra, We have just returned to the UK and I thought it would be better to e-mail you than fill in your questionnaire. We had a fantastic visit and I cannot thank you enough for organising this for us. Here are our opinions on each aspect.
Drivers Apart from our tour of Tashkent we had Sergei for the whole trip. He was very good. We did find the road journeys the worst part of our holiday as they are long and roads are sometimes poor.
Khiva The transfers were perfect and our guide Jamal was excellent. The Khiva Madrassa hotel was in a good location but rooms were not good. We would not stay at the hotel again.
Bukhara The Omar Khayaam hotel was fantastic! This was in the perfect location and the rooms were brilliant. Komil was an excellent guide.
Samarkand The Sherdor hotel was great and Nina our guide fantastic. The only problem was with Sherdor Hills Resort. The resort was not open so we had no hot water and we had to cook our own food. The staff at Sherdor did offer for us to stay another night there but we really wanted to stay in the mountains. Perhaps the Sherdor should have told you this before so you could have let us know.
Tashkent We think the Poytaht was a great hotel in best location. Our guide was good and the food at the hotel very good too. OrexCA.com Fantastic!!! Our whole itinerary worked perfectly. I would like to thank you and Ksenia for all your work in arranging our visit. It was lovely to meet you too. If I have clients wanting to visit Uzbekistan or Central Asia I would always come to you. Thank you once again for a wonderful visit. Kind regards Travel Consultant 01279 639600 Gary Whelan
Andrew Royal Chicago City, USA I came to Uzbekistan in May, 2005, as an independent tourist. Having studied the history of Central Asia and the Uzbek language in college at the University of Chicago, I was confident that I would be able to find my way around Uzbekistan on my own. After successfully navigating my way from Tashkent through Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, and Karakalpakistan, I found myself back in Tashkent with too much time on my hands. Eager to escape the busy pace and dirty skies of the big city, I arranged a trip to the mountain village of Khumsan through OrexCA.com. I must say, from the majesty and grandeur of the Registan to the excitement of entering Tajikistan quasi-legally to visit the Sogdian ruins of Pendjikent, nothing compared with the hospitality the people of Khumsan showered on me.
When I arrived in Khumsan, I was warmly welcomed into the Akramov's house and a delicious, warm meal was immediately served with fresh, still-warm-the-goat milk and locally-produced wine. Best of all was washing my food down with crystal clear water from the family's stream. Later that night I visited another family in Khumsan and was treated to a delectable stir-fry of mushrooms and potatoes served with home-made ketchup and more wine. My hosts were so gracious that even after delivering an abbreviated toast in my broken, heavily accented Uzbek, they heaped praise on my "sweet poetry". I remember ending my night by chewing on wild, mountain rhubarb and gazing at a sky abundant with stars I had long forgotten.
My final day in Khumsan, I took a horse-back trip through a gorge in the mountains. I remember at the beginning of the journey, still at the bottom of the gorge, looking up into the heights and seeing little houses, perched among the cliffs. The great joy of the trip was visiting these homes. At every single one, a family waited with tea and food, ready to serve us. What a joy it is to sit with friends, drinking mint-flavored tea and listening to the gentle trickle of waterfalls!
I plan to visit Uzbekistan again, and when I do, I will coordinate my whole trip through OrexCA.com and I will insist on visiting all of the villages where they have contacts. I didn't have any trouble independently planning a fulfilling trip to Uzbekistan, but after my visit to Khumsan, I am convinced that I missed many of Uzbekistan's true gems. Next time I will trust the experts of OrexCA.com to help guide me to the biggest adventures and friendliest families of Uzbekistan. Andrew Royal Chicago City, USA
Rob Gandara Corvallis City, USA My experience with OrexCA.com was exceptional. The entire time I was in Uzbekistan I felt that I had the support I needed to travel and do all the things I wanted to do. They made sure I had the level of service I wanted with accommodations, tour guides and amount of free time to just wander around by my self. The best part was having contact information so if something did go wrong there was someone local to assist me.
I did have a problem with my visa, no fault of OrexCA.com, and they helped me work through it with the office of foreign affairs something I never could have done with out them.
They saved my trip and I had a great time.
I love you OrexCA.com! Rob Gandara Corvallis City, USA
Ruth and Erich Horn Switzerland ... In September, Ruth and I made a great trip to the Silk Road in Uzbekistan. It was a great adventure for us especially for me since I always wanted to retrace Marco Polo's travels. The cities of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand are real jewels and bring the stories of 1001 nights to life. The Mosques and Madrasassah's are wonders of Islamic architecture and rival the Taj Mahal in India.
Tourism is all but dead here, in Samarkand we were the only guests in a 260 room hotel. But still we were well received wherever we visited, but one of the bad things about Uzbekistan, is the terrible food! Fatty Mutton again and again. Before returning home, we visited again with our daughter Kim and friends, and feasted on some of the best that Switzerland has to offer. And we still carry it with us...
Torres Juan and Roa Maria Eugenia Barcelona, Spain We spent a very very good time in Uzbequistan with OrexCA.com! Everything was very good, the country is beautiful and the people is nice. For my husband and for me, is the best trip than we have ever done. Torres Juan and Roa Maria Eugenia Barcelona, Spain
Jill Muller. USA ... In the meantime, my regards to you and Tojidin. And thanks again for a wonderful trip. I hope we can make it back one day and see the whole Fergana Valley and much more. Jill Muller. USA
Alejandro Slobodianik.
Alejandro Slobodianik. Caracas, Venezuela
Montserrat Morillas and Antonio Garsia Madrid, Spain Dear OrexCA.com team! Antonio and I have been very happy with the trip.
We have liked a lot of Uzbekistan. Maybe the less tourist area is Fergana but interesting. The city that but I have liked it is Bukhara, is a very welcoming city and their very kind people.
We have been very satisfied of the guides and the one that less we have liked it has been that of Khiva. Mohamed (Bukhara) and Valentina and Larisa (Samarkanda) especially. Bukhara and Samarkanda have become trained very well.
Firat (driver) he is a great professional. It is very pleasant and competent. If some friends ask us for the trip to Uzbekistan, I won't have doubt in putting them in contact with OrexCA.com.

Cathy Brown, Great Britain Dear Ms. Alexandra Tursunova: I want to compliment you on the excellent service you gave us for our group's trip to Khoresm and Karakalpakistan in April 2006. First, your website is impressive. You keep it current, offer detailed, accurate information with correct English and use great graphics and design. Then, when I wrote you an email, you answered all my questions ðrîmptly, which haven't had a local agency do before. Finally, your ability to do everything I asked was greatly appreciated. For instance I wanted our gals on one floor and the guys on another and you made sure this happened. Thank you so much. And you were so flexible when we were all able to get on the earlier flight and therefore had to shift all our plans by 6 hours. Wow, we are so thankful we didn't have to sit at the Urgench Airport that whole time. Thank you, thank you for your QUICK work.
I did not expect your agent Jahongir to assist us in Khoresm. Yet, he called to see how we were doing at the yurts, on the bus, and in Nukus. Then, he met us at the Hotel Arkonchi to get us settled in, and it was his birthday! He went beyond his duty by being our tour guide the next day when the one had previously arranged could not come. He was perfect for our group of teenagers - catering the historical stories to what they would be interested in and not boring them at all! I wish he had been available for another tour in the afternoon.
All the meals that he arranged for us were excellent and he was able to get the local foods I had specifically requested with plenty of salads and drinks at a reasonable cost. We really appreciated this unexpected service.
I will highly recommend your agency to anyone in need of travel assistance in the future. We, of course, will use you for all our travel needs as well; it is great to find excellent service in Uzbekistan.

Rosa i Quim, Spain Hello Alexandra! We would like to say thank you that our travel in Uzbekistan was a fantastic journey. There were some thinks that I would like to comment:
Hotel Boutique Amelia in Bukhara is and excellent hotel for location, staff, comfort, breakfast... Homestay in Chimgan at
Rosa Miralieva house was fantastic Rosa is an excellent cooker and all the family are very nice, and we stay there like in our house. The visit to Aral Sea takes 13 hours from Nukus to Aral Sea and the 11 hours from Aral Sea to Moynak then Moynak to Nukus and then to Khiva, that makes a very long journey. In spite we enjoy, the night in the beach was very nice, Maybe is not necessary go as far as we went. I thing it's possible to stop at the beginning of the waters of the Aral Sea.
P.S. If we return to Central Asia we no doubt to contact another time with OrexCA.com Rosa i Quim, Spain
